Ground Cover Plants

Let us plant ground cover plants to replenish the soil

In honor of World Soil Day, which falls on December 5, we will share with you some of the many ways in which soil and environment can be maintained to improve soil quality by planting ground cover plants.

  • Why cultivated Ground cover plants?

Ground cover cultivation is: Soils, water, Protects against wind erosion Strengthening the structure of the soil;Increased levels of peat, the lifeblood of the soil;Even your friends should follow suit, as it provides the benefits of a more nutritious soil and more nutrients.

  •  When should it be planted?

If you have a residual moisture content between the two crops, you should plant a mulch.(Example: A situation where the land is left vacant after the monsoon paddy because no other crops can be grown)Soil should be planted if the soil moisture is not good enough for the plants to germinate, even if the crop is not harvested.

  • What kind of plants can be grown?

You can plant a legume in your area (cheap seed). According to the local name, you can plant Pitesan Shaw plant and Nyan Plant as you like.

  • What to do after planting?

No special care is required after sowing. If the moisture can support the flowering stage after germination, you can get the most nutrients by plowing 50% at the time of flowering. If the moisture is just enough for the plants to grow, the plants will die on their own and add nutrients to the soil. Plow at least 3 weeks before planting the next crop. Plow should be done about 4 weeks. Only then will there be enough time for the ground cover to decompose well before the next crop is planted.

  • How does ground cover plant benefit the environment?
Due to the inability of rain to fall directly on the topsoil where the mulch is planted, the soil becomes compacted. It can prevent soil and nutrients from being lost along with the rain. By planting the ground cover plant, the valuable nutrients in the soil can be irrigated. It protects against wind erosion and the remnants of planted ground cover return to the soil, replenishing the soil's nutrients. If legumes are grown, they can capture nitrogen from the atmosphere and replenish the nitrogen in the soil. In addition, it can increase the quality and variety of beneficial microorganisms, which can improve the quality of the soil. Ground cover plants can reduce the amount of greenhouse gases in the atmosphere by absorbing carbon dioxide from the air and storing carbon through its roots through the soil.

By planting Ground cover plants can improve the quality of the soil and reduce the amount of carbon dioxide that pollutes the air, so it will play a leading role in reducing global warming. Therefore, we urge farmers to maintain the quality of their soil by cultivating as many soil conditions as possible, which are as cost-effective and easy to do as possible for soil health and the environment. Thank you all.
